Gabrielle Howell Art Collection offers individually commissioned, hand-drawn artwork created in Gabrielle Howell's signature artistic style. Please review the following policy before submitting a custom artwork request.
1. COMMISSION REQUESTS
Submitting the Custom Artwork Request Form allows you to share your desired concept, size, reference images, preferred completion date, and other relevant details.
Submission of a request does not guarantee acceptance or require you to purchase artwork. After your request is reviewed, you will receive final pricing, an estimated timeline, and next steps by email.
2. PRICING & QUOTES
Custom artwork begins at $300. Final pricing varies based on the size, detail, complexity, framing, and overall scope of the requested piece.
A personalized quote will be provided after your request has been reviewed. You will have the opportunity to review the quote before deciding whether to proceed with your commission.
3. COMMISSION DEPOSIT
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your commission and begin the creative process. The deposit will be applied toward the total price of the artwork.
Work will not begin until the deposit has been received.
4. FINAL PAYMENT
The remaining balance is due upon completion of the artwork and must be paid in full before the completed piece is shipped or delivered.
Available payment methods will be provided with your payment instructions.
5. TIMELINE
Completion times vary depending on the size, complexity, current commission schedule, and scope of each project.
Any requested completion date submitted through the form is not guaranteed. An estimated timeline will be provided before the commission begins.
6. REVISIONS & CHANGES
Because each piece is hand-drawn and created with artistic freedom, revisions are limited.
Requests that alter the originally agreed-upon concept, composition, or scope may result in additional charges and/or an adjusted completion timeline. The feasibility of changes may also depend on how far the artwork has progressed.
7. ARTISTIC FREEDOM
Each commission is created in Gabrielle Howell's signature pen and ink style and may incorporate abstract and experimental elements.
Your ideas, memories, reference materials, and requested elements provide the foundation for the piece; however, Gabrielle retains creative freedom in the interpretation, composition, line work, and execution of the final artwork.
Reference images and descriptions are used as inspiration and guidance and do not guarantee an exact reproduction. Minor variations in line work, proportions, placement, and other artistic details are inherent to original, hand-drawn artwork.
8. CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
The 50% commission deposit is non-refundable once paid.
Due to the personalized nature of commissioned artwork, payments for completed custom artwork are non-refundable except where otherwise required by applicable law.
If Gabrielle Howell Art Collection is unable to complete an accepted commission, any payment received for work that will not be completed will be refunded to the customer.
9. COPYRIGHT & USAGE
Purchase of a commission transfers ownership of the physical artwork to the customer upon full payment. Copyright and reproduction rights remain with Gabrielle Howell Art Collection unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
Gabrielle Howell Art Collection may photograph, display, reproduce, and share commissioned artwork for portfolio, website, social media, promotional, and marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed to in writing.
10. FRAMING & SHIPPING
Framing specifications, when included, will be communicated as part of the commission details and quote.
Shipping and/or delivery details will be confirmed before completion. Because commissioned pieces are individually created and prepared, processing and shipping times may vary.
11. COMMUNICATION
Communication regarding commission requests, quotes, timelines, and project updates will primarily take place via email. If a phone conversation is necessary, arrangements will be discussed by email beforehand.
Customers are encouraged to communicate questions or relevant information throughout the commission process.
12. ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY
By submitting a commission request, you acknowledge that you have reviewed this policy.
By accepting a quote and paying the commission deposit, you agree to the final scope, pricing, and terms associated with your commission.
